Yes. I wouldn't be able to take those shots without it. There's even camera shake when I simply press the shutter button, so I have to use the time as well.
I forgot to mention that I cropped those pictures to make them panoramas. Someone was asking to use them as wallpaper, so I have uncropped high-res versions, too.
